About This Site

Hello, I am an itinerant teacher of deaf and hard of hearing students. I work mainly with mainstreamed students of various ages and degrees of hearing losses and communication modes. This is only my second year and I cannot believe the challenges, drama, and BS I have come across already! I heard about how daunting the deaf/hoh education field can be, but man, I had no idea!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my job (thanks to my awesome students), but sometimes it makes me want to tear my hair out.

So, I started this blog to hear from teachers (both retired and active), student teachers studying d/hoh education, and others involve in d/hoh education who would like to discuss the challenges they face, confess their secrets, or scream about the crap we sometimes have to put up with.

Every posting will be completely anonymous, unless you don't want to be.

Please try not to go overboard with the curse words. I will not post violent or sexually graphic content.
